  • NDR error when replying to meeting requests

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone came accross the same issue, and has an answer for it...
I just had transittioned our exchange org from 2003 to 2007 version and now everytime someone from our users replies to a meeting that was sent to them from the specific user will get an error message shown in an attachement:
Also it is only happening when meeting request is sent from that specific user.
The user that NDR is pointing to is no longer in our system, or I am not able to find him. Tried to look in exchange; AD objects etc.
Searched with ADSIEDIT tool - could not find any object with this users name.
Also tried to create another account using his exact name that he was setup with previously, and I was able to do it....
I have checked configuration of an outlook client, that meeting request is sent from, and could not find any rules or settings that point to that "misterious" user name.

Sorry for attaching a word doc initialy....

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Delegates again.
You need to look on the recipient's account to see whether there is a delegate set. You can also look in adsiedit.msc for the same thing.
If there are other delegates listed then it could be a stuck delegate. To flush the system, remove all of the delegates and add someone new who would never have been added to the account before. Leave it in place for 30 minutes. Restart Outlook. Then remove that Delegate and restart Outlook again. Add the original delegates back in.

Re: NDR error when replying to meeting requests

I think after removing the delagate from that person's outlook app, as suggested by Sembee fixed the isssue, even thought the delagate that was in there was not the one that users were getting error about. So, I am still not exactly sure what was causing it, but it seems that this error went away now.
Thanks a lot for your help.

The reason that changing the delegates fixed the problem is because something was stuck. Changing the delegate forced Exchange to flush out that stuck setting.
