  • Address List Service Problem

When running a command such as the following:
    Set-CASMailbox username -PopEnabled $true
(to enable pop for a user)

I get the following error message:
"An Exchange 2007 server on which an address list service is active cannot be found."

As far as I have tested the server seems to be working correctly other than this problem. There is no event log entry of any kind, and no other clues as to what this error might be.

It is instaled on a 2003 Server Std x64, it is a Global Catalogue, no FSMO roles are held.

On another forum some guy was having the same problem and his solution was to move all the FSMO roles to the Exchange 2007 Server. While this might work there must be better solution out there.

    I appreciate any help given
    Thanks

    Re: Address List Service Problem

Installing Service Pack 2 seemed to cure the problem.

If anyone has any more information on why SP2 may have corrected this problem please post.

    Thanks
