  • Exchange 2007 internal distribution list problem (plus a few other things)

    Hi,

We recently upgraded to Exchange 2007 from 2003 and we are currently in a coexistance environment between them both, we are still running 2003 because we use the public folders a lot.

Anyway everything has been fine until we've recently come across a couple of problems I hope you can help me with:

(FYI we are running Windows server 2003 R2 on all our servers except the Exchange 2007 server which is of course x64, we have no Edge Transport Server and we are running the CAS, Mailbox and Hub Transport Server role on the x64 box)

First of all, in Outlook 2007, the Out of Office Assistant doesn't work, it will work through owa and Outlook 2003 but in 2007 when you try to activate it the message "Your Out of Office settings cannot be displayed because the server is unavailable" appears.

Any new Distribution lists I create on Exchange 2007 do not work, we receive a NDR when sending to them in Outlook and in OWA it says that the lists must contain recipients even though there are recipients in the list. This has just occurred in the last two weeks because I have created groups in Exchange 2007 that do work, as far as I am aware nothing has changed.

Lastly, the option to allow users access to their folders through owa is a great addition to owa, but I have since discovered that the users are able to click the "up" button from their folder and they are then able to view all shared folders on the server, including hidden ones (ones with a $) is there a way to hide these folders from owa?

I realise I'm probably asking a lot for my first post but I hope someone can help sort out these three headaches?

    Thanks in Advance
