How long does exchange keep calendar items . My Outlook clients are set to never auto-archive . It seems I only have 6 months of calendar items .

    Re: retention policies

Is this on a network connected to an exchange server??

Perhaps there is an exchange user mailbox management policy to auto archive anything older than 6 months.

I dont think there is a default period for outlook in a non network environment

I have not set any mailbox management policies. I can't even find the option that archives items older than 6 months.

        Re: retention policies

Auto-archive is enabled by default and I'm pretty sure the default retention period for calendar items (as well as Tasks and Journal) is 6 months.
Controlling it through group policy might be the way to go.
