  • Individual Mailbox limits

    Guys,

I have a mailbox system policy that sets limits on my mailbox store. I am currently testing the archive feature and have a mailbox set up to to receive all archieve mails but obviously I want the limit set higher than normally:

I have overwritten the default limits according to:

    http://www.petri.com/overwriting_mai...icy_limits.htm

to 500MB but when I increased the size of that mailbox over the store limit to test it I am still denied the ability to send even though the store limit is 50MB and I have changed the individual mailbox to be 500MB.

    Any ideas?

Strange - it's suddently started working.

I assume there must be some service that runs periodically that checks / updates this because as soon as I made the change it still failed.

Can anyone supply any information on this?

Exchange caches certain settings. These settings are flushed every couple of hours. Therefore some settings can take a while before they take affect.

Unfortunately the only way to force the system to flush the settings is to restart the Exchange services.

        Makes sense.

I thought there might have been a certain service that controls this that could easily be restarted.

Cheers for clearing that up Simon
