  • Relay problem

    my company just configure an Exchange 2003 server + DC...
    When send from Outlook client using the email account from Exchange
    I got this error when send to external email.

    550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [email protected]


    But when send to internal email, i can successfully send out .

    Anyone can help?

    Does your exchange 2003 know about your Gateway? I would check that the default gateway IP address is known by the Exchange Server. this setting is usually in Exchange System Manager, open routing groups, first routing group, connector. You should pop your Def. Gateway's IP address here. Ours is an Exchange 2000 Server and was set up in March 2004 whenever this connector goes down we cannot receive or send outside our organisation but when it comes back up we can so there.
