  • problem with invitations

    Dear experts,

what do you think about this problem:

    domain with Exchange 2003.
I use MS Outlook with exchange-based email box.
From my computer, I can create meetings in calendar and send invitations to
external users to external domains. This works fine.

But, the problem is that when External users send me meeting invitations, instead of standard invitation message (where I can accept/decline meeting and add appointment in my calendar) I receive just normal emails with the following text inside:

    Type:Single Meeting
    Organizer:"name of person"
    Start Time:Monday, 24 July 2006 10:00 AM
    End Time:Monday, 24 July 2006 10:30 AM
    Time ZoneGMT+10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney
    Location:

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
However, I can't add this invitation automatically to the Calendar.

And this happens with all users in our domain. Is there any way to fix it ?

    thank you!
    Mihail

    Re: problem with invitations

Is this happening with meeting requests sent by different external users, or just from a specific organization?
I managed to recreate the issue. It is happened if the sender Exchange organization encodes its outgoing messages using UUEncode instead MIME type

      Re: problem with invitations

      Thank you for help!

      I fixed the problem.
TrendMicro SMB Messaging blocked somehow appointments. I did not change any rules in TrendMicro exchange component. I only applied Service Pack and then reinstalled TrendMicro exchange component.

      thank you,
