    Hi ,

Is the DNS set up correctly for the 2 servers. If they are in the same administrative group i believe you are using dns to route mail between.
Are both server seeing each other?
What does nslookup/ping commands report to you?
Well , other may have more questions.
Please tell us in details your configuration.

The number one reason for failure of email to flow between servers is a smart host configured on the SMTP Virtual Server of the old server.
If you have a smart host in there, remove it and use an SMTP Connector instead.

      Otherwise do a connectivity test.
Ensure that you can telnet to port 25 of the other server...

      telnet ip.ad.re.ss 25
      telnet servername 25
      telnet servername.domain.com 25

If any of those fail it will indicate a problem.

DNS is working fine (Ping works fine)

        Configuration
        2000 Exchange server is Master
Only single SMTP connector having smart host to forward address space * to (IP address)
        No other connector
if i will send mail using telnet works fine (if i will use outlook mail from old server i.e. 2000 to 2003 wont work even i cant see any in Q....)

Mail flow from old sever 2000 to 2003 not working but form 2003 to 2000 works fine... (is the issue with smarthost configure to forward all mails?)

        Please suggest
I/We have smart host to forward all mail to a.b.c.d IP because of this from old server is forwarding all mail to this host and because of this mail box on new servers are not able to recieve mail is this? if yes please suggest? (I wont be able to change my setting for old server for smart host is below solution will work please suggest...

Shall i Create one SMTP connector on old server for address space *@mydomain.com or ?

Re: Mail flow between same Administrative group Exchange & 2003

Have you checked on the SMTP virtual server for any smart host entry?

ESM, Servers, <your server>, Protocols, SMTP. Right click on the Default SMTP VS and choose Properties. Click on the tab Delivery and then Advanced. Ensure that smart host is blank.

Creating an SMTP Connector for your own domain is pointless. SMTP Connectors deal with outbound email only.

Also make sure that you haven't placed any restrictions on the SMTP VS on the old server restricting what it connects to.
