IN the storage group there is an option to chose an alternate location for logs,
      i did it

my question is whether, the system path option which in the same tab should be directed to the same place as well

You don't move the logs manually you move them using the correct tab in exchange.

I can't remember what tab it is cause i ain't got it saved here.

        Follow this though.

Leave system path alone. You only need to move the logs and database (as appropriate).

This reminds me of a client that called and said that they cannot open any attachment in Exchange. After a lot of research it turns out that they installed Exchange in a folder that is not the default folder... I know there's a KB about this, and I keep telling it to my students, however it was still "interesting" to see it happen with my own eyes...
