  • Links in OWA

We are using Windows 2003 servers and Exchange Server 2003 for email. We host our own website. We often send hyperlinks to large files so that someone in the field can get them without using email attachments. When our people use OWA and click on the link, They get a 403 error. The text reads: "You are not authorized to view this page
You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.

The URL in the browser reads something like: URL=

Links to outside URL's work fine.

We didn't have this problem with Exchange 2000. We only have this problem with Outlook Web Access. Any help would be appreciated.

No, there are no certificates involved. It's just a generic 403 error.
Both Exchange and website are on the same server, which is getting the correct time from outside time server.

We having similar issue. The issue may be related to opening documents in OWA.

        Environment: Exchange 2003. Windows 2003.

Issue: When user drog/drop documents in some of the public folders using Outlook, these documents will not open using OWA. (not all public folders are affected. Many of them work just fine).

Error: You are not authorized to view this page 403

URL OWA trying to access to open doc(modified due to privacy issue):

Testing we did: we published same doc in different Public Folders and were able to open them in some not in others.

Could you please let me know what direction we need to look in or how to resolve this issue. Also, please let me know if any additional information is needed./

        Thank you in advance.
