  • Public Folder Security

I am using Exchange 2003 server, I have created several public folders in it. the problem I am getting is, I real do not know how to restrict users from posting to some of the folders. since I want few selected users to be able to post to this particular public folder.

I would also appreciate if you can send links where I can learn more on exchange / active directory security.

    Thanks.

    Re: Public Folder Security

To set permissions on Public Folders, open the public folder tree in Outlook, right click on the folder you want, select Properties then Permissions.

You will need to be on as the account used to create the folder.

For more information, try google (your best friend in IT support) and, of course, the parent Petri site (www.petri.com) where there is a searchable knowledge base of all things IT related.

    Hope this helps
