  • Recovering emails when user exceeds mailbox size?

I've checked the articles, but no luck....
I've had this message from one of my customers:

    Code:
In a nutshell, XXXXXX exceeded his mailbox capacity just after he went on holiday.

He was on holiday last week and continued to receive e-mails to his blackberry.

However, he has not received any e-mails from 1/5/06-8/5/06 which was the period his mail box was exceeded.

How can we get those e-mails to his inbox?
Any bright suggestions, or is it lost forever. No email archiving turned on but email tracking is on.

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

As far as i know when a users mailbox is full the message gets bounced if the Prohibit Send and Recieve at: check box is checked.

Yes, message was bounced -- I'm wondering if a copy is left somewhere on the system -- BadMail directory is empty.

More in hope than in anticipation...

I thought it dropped the messages completely.

I'll have a dig around though and see if i can come up with anything.
