  • Send/Receive Functionality lost in Exchange 2003

We have a new installation of Server2003/Exchange 2003 with latest Service Paks in both cases. Migrated AD Domain/Forest and users/mailboxes successfully using MS tools, but did not install POP3 connector prior to migration. Tried installing POP3 through Server Manager unsuccessfully, but when uninstalling using the same tool, the Server removed SMTP. We can no longer send/receive e-mail through Exchange, Outlook or OWA, although telnet session was successful. State of e-mail for users is as of 10am EST today (Apr 20). How can we reintegrate full functionality without having to do complete reinstallation/migration?

SBS 2003 contains POP3 connector. However, regular Exchange 2003 doesnt contains POP3 connector - its contains regular POP3 service that the Exchange 2003 installation add. Did you installed from add/remove programs the POP3? (This a common mistake and could be avoid by reading Exchange manuals).
