  • Exchange 2003 Mailbox Usage or Last time a user logged in report.

I am an Administrator of an Exchange 2003 Enterprise. We are running Exchange Enterprise 2003 6.5(Build 7226.6: Service Pack1). We have approximately 1000 mailboxes. We don't think that all are being used, and are looking for a tool or report to determine when a user last logged into their mailbox.

One main issue we are having in determining this (currently we are doing the manual look through the mailbox store at the last login time) is that we have Outlook Web access as well as Veritas Backup Exec. So, the logins will also show our service account for Veritas and NT Authority\Service (I am assuming this is showing up when the user is using via the Front-end OWA server).

Does such a tool exist that can give us Mailbox usage reports that break down when/if a user is using their mailbox and how often?

We are part of a 2003 AD. Exchange is not running on a DC. We have 2 Exchange servers, 1 front end only for OWA and 1 back end. We currently have 3 Mailbox stores. We utilize the mailbox cleanup.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
