We have a brand new 2003 SP1 AD with Exchange 2003 SP2. One FE server (no mailboxes) and one BE server (all mailboxes). SMTP\OWA\OMA is going through the FE server.

About four days ago we get the following error on and off only when sending to internal users. External works fine. This happens and then if they try to send again, it will work. Sometimes it will fail 4-5 times in a row and then work.

I dont see anything outstanding in the event log.
We have not enable "accept mail only from authenticated users" on any mailboxes.

It also happens when some users try to send email from a resource mailbox they have permissions on.
