  • Delivery Status Notification (Delay) Status: 4.4.7

    Hi,
After previous problems with my Exchange 2003 server and solved the problems i,m having some troubles with sending out mail to receipiants with a hotmail or msn address.
All other outgoing email is working fine.
i`m getting the folowing error message:

    Reporting-MTA: dns;srv01.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.nl

    Final-Recipient: rfc822;[email protected]
    Action: delayed
    Status: 4.4.7
    Will-Retry-Until: Fri, 10 Mar 2006 13:07:07 +0100
    X-Display-Name: John Doe

after a litle bit of inquiries on the web i suspect that this is a DNS problem
but i can`t point out exactly what it is and how to solve it.

i`m running exchange server 2003 in a windows domain, all server 2003 with all the latest service packs

Try telnetting into the hotmail server and sending a mail from within telnet.
