  • Multiple Instances of OWA in the samme IIS Server

    Hello
Is it possibe to have two or more instances of OWA so that users from different Exchange domains can get their mail. I created a new virtual server on the http protocol on the Mail Server but I'm not getting nowhere.
    I would appreciate any help

    Thanks in advance
    Gus

I guess that you will need to change the port of the new OWA or configure each virtual server to listen to uniqe IP.
However, there no real need to add a new virtual directory/owa. Why there
no option to use the single virtual server?

Re: Multiple Instances of OWA in the samme IIS Server

The reason why I need different OWA pointing to same IIS is because I'm hosting different companieson the same Exchange Server, and I want all of them to get their own branded info.

      Thanks

Re: Multiple Instances of OWA in the samme IIS Server

For hosting multiple companies on one Exchange server you need to do more than that.

Did you create multiple Recipient Policies? Do you have multiple GALs? Do you have multiple SMTP Virtual Servers?

If yes, then in ESM create another HTTP Virtual Server, call it COMPA, COMPB and so on.

Make sure it points to the correct company's mailboxes (will be visible if you have multiple Recipient Policies).

Make sure each company has a valid and registered domain name, create a record called (for example) MAIL.COMPA.COM and point it to your server's public IP address.

Use that URL as a host header in IIS Manager, for the correct Virtual Website you see there (i.e. create the virtual website in ESM, edit it in IIS Manager).
        Cheers,

          Thanks for the prompt reply
I did create all that stuff, but for some reason I'm having some problems with IIS itself. I just wanted to make sure that it could be done.
You know if there is a step by step guide like the ones you post on your Web site

          Thanks
