  • SMTP work with DNS

    got a question.

my DC has a Local Area Network DNS , and in my SMTP Connector i configured my ISP DNS so mail can go out.
if i remove the ISP DNS ip's the mail stuck in queue.

cant exchange use my local DNS to send messages out side ?! does my DNS is for LAN only ?!

if i can use it to be my preffered dns, how can i configure it 2 be so.

Is the root server list from your local DNS empty ?
(open DNS console --> right click DNS server --> select properties --> root hints)

    See : http://www.petri.com/no_forwarding_o...dns_server.htm
