  • Anti-Spam Tools

    Hi,
We are using Symantec AntiSpam on our Exch server and it deletes the majority of the spam but lately the spam with embedded graphics are getting through.

Any suggestions as to products or services that will sense & delete this type of spam?

How is the MS IMF product? Is it good, ok or typical MS?

    Thanks

    Re: Anti-Spam Tools

IMF could potentially detect these messages as spam but in my experience its not likely. IMF is a baysian style filter in that it learns based on a users determination of the legitimacy of an email, it then applies what it knows to new messages. It works but I wouldn't bank on it.

Do you have any experience with the 'Symantec Premium AntiSpam' product? It seems that the "Stock Pickers"/Software Pirates & Viagra spammers have gotten around many of the filters I have been using.

      Thanks
      Good Luck!

I'll check it out and let the board know how it goes.

I like the GFI tool, I've used it several times. Quite nice and cheap when compared to some of the other solutions.

No I don't have much experience with the Symantec product. I currently use GFI mail essentials which like Daniel said is rahter cheap in comparison to other products and works well.
