  • First Storage Group\ Mailbox Store, Public Folders and Log Files corrupt

    Hi,
    I am having my Exchnage 2000 installed on Windows2000. I am using Veritas BackupExec version 9 for backing up the mailboxes daily. Till last week it was working fine, but now i am getting error maessages and failed notification from the BackupExec. I am getting the following errors.
    \\exch01\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Log filesFile is corrupt : \\exch01\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (exch01)File is corrupt : \\exch01\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Public Folder Store (exch01)
    Rest everything is working fine, my users are able to send and receive mails properly and there is no complain so far. Kindly provide me some solution. Do i need to mount the mailbox again?

    Please run eseutil /mh on the databases:

    Reboot the server (if everything seems ok) and defrag the Exchange database.
    Also, verity that you use the latest antivirus version for Exchange.
    If the problem occur again its recommanded to contact Veritas and consider to upgrade to Backupexec 10d (The version 9 will be drop from the support line in the near future as I know).
