  • OABInteg

    Hi All,

Anyone here used the OABInteg tool? I found a webcast link on Daniels site.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905482. It was imformative but did not go into practical uses or scenarios that i can remember. So whe I ran it again my GC's I got the following error:

    Trying to connect to: GC://servername.company.com
    Failure ADsOpenObject
    ADSI Error: hr = 0x8007202b - LDAP_REFERRAL - ERROR_DS_REFERRAL: Cannot resolve referral.
    Function: ValidateStoreOfflineAddressList
    Line number: 49

    Failure ADsOpenObject
    ADSI Error: hr = 0x8007202b - LDAP_REFERRAL - ERROR_DS_REFERRAL: Cannot resolve referral.
    Function: AddressListTest
    Line number: 235

    Failure ADsOpenObject
ADSI Error: hr = 0x80005000 - E_ADS_BAD_PATHNAME: An invalid ADSI pathname was passed.
    Function: OfflineAddressListTest
    Line number: 702

    Failure ADsOpenObject
ADSI Error: hr = 0x80005000 - E_ADS_BAD_PATHNAME: An invalid ADSI pathname was passed.
    Function: AddressBookRootsTest
    Line number: 436

Having a tough time finding anything on these errors, perhaps some one can shed a little light on this for me.

Perhaps I need to have this post in the Server Operating forum..

    Any thoughts greatly apreciated.

    Thanks

      Re: OABInteg

All of these errors are in regard to problems connecting to your domain controller.

Do you have the command line switch you are running?

For all of the active directory tests you need to use the /s:yourgcnamehere

      Example

      oabinteg.exe /s:yourgcname /t:alltests

You also need to make sure that you have the proper credentials to run the tool against your active directory domain controller. If you are running this from one domain against another, you can use the /U and /P for username and password for authentication purposes.
