  • sending mail from webform to exchange 2003

    Hello,

i'm trying to send a webform made in Pear mail_mime to a mailbox from exchange 2003. the webform uses the same email address in the from, to and reply_path
when submitting the form, the clients email will receive (so reley is working).
but the mail will not be received in the mailbox of the exchange server....

    can someone help me?

Message Tracking will tell you what Exchange did with the message. If it doesn't appear in Message Tracking then the email hasn't even been received by Exchange.

i don't see the mail in the message tracking, i do see the ip address of the web server pop up in the logging.

      22:43:50 1.2.3.4 - - 0
      22:43:50 1.2.3.4 MAIL - 0

      22:43:50 1.2.3.4 QUIT - 0

is there some kind of machanism when a mail comes in and has the same mail address in the from and return_path as itself, that the mail will be blocked or dropped?

The default logging doesn't show enough, you will probably have to change the logging settings.

If it doesn't appear in Message Tracking then Exchange didn't receive the email. There is nothing in Exchange that will drop email, but that isn't to say that something else isn't doing so - like antispam software.

that's the odd thing, there is no anti spam. its a straith out of the box SBS (running on same config for 6 years).
