  • New mailbox creation in AD doesn't appear in Exchange

    Hi,

I'm running AD 2000 and exchange 2003. When I'm creating a new user with a mailbox from the AD the mailbox doesn't appear in the Exchange server's mailboxes and Outlook doesn't have access to it. After some period of time (few hours) the problems sorts itself. This is a very problematic situation and looks like it takes a long time before the AD and the exchange update each other. Please help.

What do you mean by "does not appear"? In the mailbox list under the store, or the email address in the user's account properties?

Make sure the RUS is configured to always run. You can also manualy update it.

Sync your DCs manually, se if it makes the change faster.

Send a message to the new user's email address, that'll make the mailbox appear in the mailboxes list in the stre.

      Hi Daniel,

"does not appear" means In the mailbox list under the store.
Already checked the DC's and the RUS. All is good.
I can't send a mail to the user as the mail address is not recognizable. Even in Exchange properties, in AD users and comps the user doesn't have a SMTP address, although he has a mailbox.

Event IDs that are related to RUS?
