  • EX2003 - Change server local time

    Hello All,

    Background:
    • Our data center is in southwest (MST) but the corporate office on the west coast (PST).
    • All of the servers in our data center are setup for PST timezone.
    • We have four Exchange 2003 servers that should all be set to PST time.
    • One frontend, and three mail servers.
    • One of the mail servers is the bridgehead server.

    Issue:
I notice that the bridgehead server is set to MST whereas the remaining servers are set to PST.

    Questions:
    1. If I change the bridgehead server to PST, what effect will it have on the mailboxes on that server?
    2. If it will cause issues with mail/appointments, what is the best approach to correct this and cause little or no impact to the users?

    Thank you in advance,

    NetNut

Re: EX2003 - Change server local time

The time zone of the server should be independant of the users, who will use the client time zone settings. Deep down, everything works on GMT (sorry, UTC,,)

Re: EX2003 - Change server local time

So, if I change the server time it should not affect the workstations or clients?
