  • Adding a second exchange server 2003

    Hi all,

We are looking at adding a second exchange server to our organisation in the plan to do a swing migration. We plan to remove the master one after the new one is up and running correctly. So we will need to get public folder reps all working too.

Has anyone got any good guides and tips for doing so?

The current exchange 2003 enterprise server is running on windows 2000 advance server. The new one will more than likely be on windows 2003.

Any tips or suggestions for the best way of doing it would be great.

    Many thanks!
    Kind Regards,
    Simon

    My guide is here:

Your choices for OS for Exchange 2003 are basically Windows 2000 or 2003. Nothing else.

    Simon.

Re: Adding a second exchange server 2003

are you performing this swing as part of a long-term project to upgrade to 2008, or is 2003 in actual fact, your end destination?

I only ask because Server 2003,and Exchange 2003, if not already there, are rapidly reaching EOSL
