  • Soger.AG virus outbreak

I have a virus outbreak on our Exchange 2M server I am trying to contain. I have found several .tmp files under the folder ...Exchange/mailroot/vsi 1/filter. Is it okay to delete these temp files? I had files in the badmail folder also which I have deleted. Still trying to find the original source.

    1. Backup the server.
    2. Stop Exchange server services and IIS services and check for viruses.
    3. Backup the server.
    4. Reboot the server.
    5. Stop Exchange server services and IIS services and check for viruses.
    6. Delete the unkown files (after backup them).
    7. Reboot the server.

It will be wise to buy Antivirus for the Exchange server.

Actually we have ScanMail for Exchange SErver installed. Not sure how it slipped through. Norton is installed on all the clients also. Thanks for your help!
