    Re: OU for exchange server

    Hi,

I don't think it needs to be in a special OU. But it will need some permissions on the OU it's in.

The exchange server should be in the 'Exchange groups' and these should have special permissions on the OU where the server/servers reside. You can experience some errors in your logs in case you move an exchange server to a new OU.

thanks, so what is the default OU that the exchang server should be in?

I don't see it in that article nor the permissions that it needs to that OU?

I know the groups need to stay but I believe the exchange server can move but you have to restart it after the move?

          Re: OU for exchange server

          Hi,

I'm not sure there is a 'default' OU for Exchange servers. Say for example that you use a DC as Exchange server, then it would be in the Domain Controllers container..

What I meant is that you have to change access (security tab) to the target OU when you move an exchange server, otherwise you'll get credential errors in your event logs.
