  • IMF junk mail removal

    Hi folks,

We are running a SBS 2003 server. I am looking for direction to Microsoft's utility that will clean out the Uce Archive folder. We are fighting with Drive space on drive C:/ and that folder in the exchange directory is eating up three and a half Gigs of space. Need to shrink that a tad. Does anyone know about the utility I am talking about? It's name? where to find it?

    Thank you,
    Anthony

Re: Uce archive folder clean up and Junk mail removal

There is a freebie (not Microsoft) called IMFCompanion:

Alternatively just navigate to the folder and do a del *.*

I have downloaded and installed IMF Companion, But all I am getting is overflow errors. The program does not seem to be stout enough to keep up with a big load of messages. Any other ideas?

I have this in place on a number of sites:

          Another tool to look at

Delete the content if it is really old, then it becomes easier to manage.

I use SmartIMFManager and it easily handles 10's of thousands of spam emails per day.
