  • e2KStd moves to e2KEnterprise: Uninstall on Standard fails.

Ready to decommission the Exchange 2000 Standard server. Here are the details…

Exchange 2000 Standard (\\v1332250) current on w2k currently patched.
Exchange 2000 Enterprise (\\4JK6C01) current on w2k currently patched.
    \\V1332250 is a DC, GC.
Using KB307917 all Public folders were replicated to \\4JK6C01 but several remain such as:controls, Default, exchangeVI, exchweb, globalevents, img, internal, microsoft, Schema, schema-root, StoreEvents, and views. Do these need to be replicated as well?

All mailboxes have been moved to \\4JK6C01 except for…

    SystemMailbox{F8…

    System Attendant

    SMTP (v1332250…)

During uninstallation of \\V1332250 setup complains that “Not all mailboxes have been removed”. How are the remaining objects removed?

    Regards

Generaly Exchange will only complain about user mailboxes during uninstall process and it doesn't care about system ones.
What is the deleted mailboxes retention time set to on the mailbox store (having a pluck in the dark here)
Try running isinteg and eseutil and confirm the integrity of the store.
Can you confirm that all user mailboxes are pointing to the new Enterprise server after the move? In Active Directory that is?
