  • which email still being sent to the Bridgehead server (Exchange 2003) ?

    Hi All,

I'm in the process of decommissioning Exchange Server 2003 as most of the server roles and content has been migrated to Exchange Server 2007, however when I view the routing group connectors, they seems to be active and modified recently ?

How can I make sure that no other email is sent to this routing group and who is sending to thie email routing group ?

Any advice and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Check the address space of the connector to see what domains its routing email for.
When you introduce Exchange 2007 it becomes authoritative for mail delivery. The routing group connector you're seeing should be the default one created when you introduce Exchange 2007 to ensure mail flow between the legacy server and Exchange 2007.
As long as all roles have been removed and system folders PF content etc replicated along with OAB RUS Bridghead etc you can decomm the old server.
