  • Microsoft Exchange System Objects

When I open up AD with advanced features selected, I see a container called "Microsoft Exchange System Objects." With in that container I have a lot of public folders. Now the problem I am having is I really do not know what they are or why there are there. I originally did not setup the exchange 2003 server and I believe the data for it was migrated from 5.5. If I use outlook to view public folders, I cannot find any of these names. My next thought is maybe there is a permission that will not let me view them. So I looked at my exchange public folder backup and even there, I am not backing them up. So, are they reminants of the old system? I basically want to know if I can remove them from active directory. I cannot find any details on these folders. Can some shed some light on this?

    Thanks,

    Mark
