  • OWA When Exchange 2003 Is Rebooted?

    Environment:
OWA front-end, running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003
mailbox back-end, running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003

When the back-end mailbox server is re-booted, would any messages being composed in the OWA client be lost?

Since HTTP is a stateless connection, I would think so, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to this simple question.

i'm gonna go ahead and say "yes" here, because OWA will save the messages as it's being composed in 'drafts' - if it loses it's MBX connection, it won't be able to save any more.

Of course.. you could have some fun late one night, and test it out !
