  • Internet Headers

    Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way that you can preserve Internet Headers in Exchange 2003?? If I get a message sent to me and I forward that message to someone else then the headers gets stripped off. I would like to keep that header in place if possible.

    Thanks!!

    Re: Internet Headers

I think that the headers dropping is one of the SMTP feathers.
You can use firewall with content managment to catch headers etc. but there no real reason to do this. If you want to secure the emails that use certificate sign etc.

I have had the same problem when asking users to forward me spam messages that they receive that appear to be originating from our network. I ask them to forward me the message so that I can take a look at the headers, but when they forward the message, the headers get stripped off.

So I asked them to type up an email to me, and insert the spam message as an attachment. The headers are then preserved.

Try sending the message as an attachment, rather than forwarding it.

Let me know if it works,
      Peter
