    Re: Exhange "Bad Mail"

    Hi,

mail that can't be delivered for one reason or another end up in the bad mail folder.
You should empty the badmail folder periodically to free up space.
I don't think you can configure what a bad mail is in this context.

Exchange 2003 SP1 (and later) disables the use of the badmail folder unless you manually enables it through a registry setting.

To add on M's answer, I usually change the registry setting to allow up to 10MB of badmail content into the folder, and monitor the number of messages found there on a daily or weekly basis. If there is an increase in badmail numbers you will notice it, as opposed to having the folder always empty and not knowing if something has hit you.

        Hi,
How do you edit that reg setting and also enable badmail in exchange 2003 sp2?

I did what you had to do:

          See the first result.
