  • Importing/Exporting Contacts

I am builing a new Exchange domain to replace an old one, for various reasons i'm not joing the new domain to the old one and migrating the users accounts etc. I have recreated the user accounts (7 of them) however there are a lot of external contacts that need recreating. Now i know i could sit there and type them in, and it would probably take a lot longer to do it the way i'm about to ask, but is there a way to export the contacts from one exchange system to another. I have managed to export them to a .pst file as contacts but cant seem to find a way to move them onto the new exchnage server. (old system Ex2K, new system Ex2003)

    Many thanks.

      Re: Importing/Exporting Contacts

      thanks Yuval

the ldifde seems to be the best option, have maaged to sus the command libe stuff to extract the contacts out of the existing exchange, however kept getting erros when trying to import to the new install. could be a 2K/2K3 mismatch, anyway i'm going to add the contacts the mauual way and will try to troubleshoot the ldifde errors another day. At least its added yet another piece of armoury to my arsenal..

      thanks
