  • IMAP SSL Certificate Question

I have a certificate already for my exchange server to use SSL with OWA. The same server I want to enable SSL for IMAP.

When I look at the properties of the Default IMAP Virtual Server, Access Tab, Secure Communications section, the "Communication" button is not available. When I click the certificate button, it asks what I want to do.

Can I use the Assign an existing certificate and use what is already on teh server for OWA to also secure IMAP...also bearing in mind that I want to keep OWA in use as well as begin using IMAP.

    Thanks a million everyone,
    RC

    Re: IMAP SSL Certificate Question

SSL certificates belong to the server, not the protocol. Therefore you can assign the same SSL certificate to multiple services - so OWA (HTTP), POP3, IMAP and SMTP.
