    greetings!

    just installed thunderbird on my kubuntu linux. i can receive mails from the internet. i can send and receive from my lan.

    my problem is, i cant send emails to the internet. it gives me 5.7.1 error. i have no problem using ms outlook. i'm using ms exchange 2000. i used the same settings for my pop and smtp settings

    btw, i got no problem with owa even on my kubuntu linux

    So from what I read, you're having issues with the Thunderbird mail client on your Kubuntu Linux box? Is that so? If Outlok works fine, why do you think it is an Exchange-related issue?

      i was just thinking since the mail client is not an ms product there are things i need to configure on my server.

        Well, I'm not familiar with that client that much, but as long as it uses POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP, besides enabling these protocols on the server there is not much you need to do.
