  • Exchange 2003 Recipient filterng

    Hi
My sql server is generating NDRs altough recipient filtering is turned on both "message delivery" and SMTP virtual server.

As I understand NDRs should not be generated in this case for on existing internal users.

    Can someone please help.

    Re: Exchange 2003 Recipient filtering

Recipient Filtering doesn't block all NDRs.
It isn't exactly where you are getting the NDRs. Recipient Filtering is for inbound email only. Where does SQL fit in?

    Simon.

        Re: Exchange 2003 Recipient filtering

Did you enable recipient filtering in both locations? Has the SMTP Server Service been restarted since enabling it?
Are you using SMTP delivery or a POP3 connector?
Are the NDRs for recipients at your domain? If you look at the raw message in the queue folder, have they come from outside?
