  • Task "Microsoft Exchange Server" reported error (0x8004010F): 'The operation failed.

    Hi
I have four Exchange 2003 servers in my domain, they are spread across four branches all replicating. The main server at the Head office does the OAB distribution. This worked 100% until yesterday when I installed a new Exchange 2010 server. The new server is up and running and mail is flowing between the two.
I get this error for mailboxes on both the 2003 and 2010 servers.
I have read a whole bunch of threads and forums but can't find the solution.
    Help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Have you replicated the public and system folders to the new Exchange server? If not then you need to.

I Have setup the replication on the OAB folders, I can see them on the new exchange but they all seem to be empty.

That will be your problem then.

get-publicfolderstatistics on the Exchange 2010 server will show the item count. If is 0 for the OAB virtual directories then replication isn't working correctly.

I would suggest asking a separate question about replication in the Exchange 2007/2010 forum, although a search might help as I am sure I have answered questions on replication failing on more than one occasion.
