  • Outlook 2007 cant connect

We are running Exchange 2003Sp2 in a two node cluster. We have outlook 2007 clients. When we fail over to secondary exchange our Outlook won’t connect. All mailboxes are mounted and mail is moving through the queue. When we fail back to the other node outlook can connect, any ideas?

What are the clients putting down as their Exchange Server -- the actual name of Server1
    or the cluster "virtual" name

The outlook is pointed to the cluster name.

What happens when you ping the cluster (in normal and failed state) -- do you get a response both times?

Also how are the clients connecting -- mapi or rpc/https

We can ping and the clients are using MAPI, OWA and Outlook anywhere are disabled. We just started having this issue about three weeks ago.
