  • External contacts restricted access from Users

    hello All

I have adding 10 External contacts to our Active directory. I have been ask if i can restricted access to these email address? so a user can't send an email to one of the 10 extenal contacts?

    What i did was

1.) Open ADUC from Administrative Tools
2.) Navigate to MyBusiness, right click and choose New -> Organizational Unit to create a new OU, and call it Contacts
3.) Right Click on the new OU and select New -> Contact
4.) Fill in the details for the contact, selecting an SMTP address - the SMTP address will be their external email address.
5.) Now, you can add them to your distribution group(s

usually you should be able to find a "delivery options" tab.. I'm not 100% sure where this is off the top of my head

however, you can definitely set a mailbox user to only be deliverable to by specific users, or to deny delivery from specific users

by rights, the same logic applies to a contact - i'll try and look tomorrow
