  • Duplicate Exchange System Objects in AD

Exchange 2000 on Windows 2000. AD shows duplicate Exchange System Objects and this concerns me. I suspect that my predecessor removed the very first Exchange 2000 server years ago and created some kind of issue that I would like to clean up before we migrate to 2003. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Re: Duplicate Exchange System Objects in AD

You can delete the old Exchange server via ADSIEDIT or Active Directory Sites and Services -> View-> Show Services - but it will be wise to test it first, backup the system and then make this change.
If the old Exchange name isnt the same as the current server, I guess that you can "fix" this problem in a short time.
