  • Ontrack Powercontrol question

How does the licensing work for Powercontrol? Do I need to buy a license for every server name that may source the database I need to work with. I perfrom only a few forensic extractions a year but I have potentially twenty data source servers. So does this product actually identify server name when it reads the database?

    Re: Ontrack Powercontrol question

You should probably ask the software vendor that question, as no one on this site is authorised to answer it for them. If you get it wrong, and tell a software auditor that you got the answer from a forum, you will be laughed at. Ask the vendor and get it in writing, then you are clear.

Concur with Sembee, but I believe they offer "organisation" or "technician" licenses -- the latter is what you need
EDIT -- looks as if it has changed:

You will need to discuss your options with them
