  • Search/view all shared foldes in exchange

    Hi guys,

We're moving to a new company on a new exchange server and they won't be "converting us". Instead they're going to create new inboxes in their domain and import the mail. Because our user names are changing as well, I'll need to have people "reshare" any folders they'd shared previously once we get moved. Is there any way for me to report out what's been shared and the people/permissions they'd shared them too? I found a product for $700 but I'd rather not spend that for a one time use.

    Thanks in advance!

There is nothing native that I am aware of, particularly if it has been done through Outlook and not at the domain level. Domain level is just a matter of dumping the permissions, but for Outlook it would require something to query every mailbox.

    Simon.

You can use PFDAVADMIN. This will allow you to export the MAPI permissions to a txt file or xml.
