  • Organization rule ***SPAM*** to move to specific folder

    Hello,

I know its possible to make a rule in Outlook to move tagged messages with ***SPAM*** to the junk folder.
But is it possible to make a rule for the whole organization in Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 clients?

    Best regards,
    MvdV.

We use a security appliance that tagges messages with ***SPAM***, so all SPAM messages appear in Outlook 2003 inbox.
How can I configure that these messages move to the JUNK folder. I don't want to make a rule per user, but a rule for the whole organization.

Any applicance I've ever used has a Quarantine feature, so spam emails would be moved into it unless a user specifically removes them and requests them to be delivered. Personally I want as much dodgy email as possible blocked before it hits the Information Store, rather than delivering it and letting users decide.

But is it possible to make a rule in Exchange 2003, like Exchange 2007 can?

The only way in Exchange 2003 would be an event or transport sink, which would require coding.

The way it is usually done is hinted above. That is to use IMF which is built in to Exchange 2003 to increase the SCL and use IMF to move the messages to the junk folder in Outlook.
