  • Checking Mailbox Size Used and total size

    Hi all,

I understand this is probably a very basic question, but one i haven't managed to find an answer to! Found an answer for Exchange 2007

I have MS Exchange Server 2003 and need to know how much mailbox capacity each user has left.

How much of the mailbox capacity a user has used and how much they have left or total capacity so i can work out what is left.

Thank you very much for all your hard work and support!

    Kind regards,

what service pack of exchange u are using and which edition. standard or enterprise?

Do you have any mailbox quotas assigned to your users

On exchange enterprise edition click on the mailboxes in ESM and you can easily view the mail boxes size as shown in the attached image.

got the below info from a friend named

    1. How to programmatically get the size of mailboxes in Exchange -

    2. A Script for Getting Mailbox Sizes (using WMI) -

Re: Checking Mailbox Size Used and total size

I had a script at one point that would email me the mailbox size of every user, every monday.
WE didn't have hard quota limits however - so it just said each mailbox size.

It would be a simple math script to work out what remains of their mailbox.

Blood's scripts will probably sort the first part out for you.
