  • Common address book and calendar.

    Hello, i have exchange 2003.

I want to create common address book or distribution list with external addresses. And everybody on the office to be able to add new entry and see all addresses.

I try to create new address list, but when trying to add entry there i receive "You cannot create entries for This Address book"

Also create Public folder "contacts" but only can create post there.

What is the best way to achieve this goal ?

I think calendar in public folders is the answer for my second part of the question.

If you knew best way, please tell me.

    Thank you.

Public Folder is ideal for this, but you must create the public folders through Outlook, not ESM.
To use the Public Folder as a contact list you will need to mark it as an Outlook Address book on each machine - it cannot be done centrally.

I do the job, work fine.

I also create calendar in public folder, but when try to add task i receive "the reminder for "test" will not appear because the item is in a folder that dosen support support reminders. Is this ok? " Any idea how to fix this.

      Thank you.

You can't set reminders in a Public Folder calendar. I believe they only work in your primary calendar, so using an additional mailbox will not work either.
