  • Exchange 2003 Removal

    Hi there;

    I am trying to uninstall Exchange 2003 after migrating to Exchnage 2007 but am unable to do so due to there being a mailbox store currently on the server. There are 3 mailboxes left on this server - System Attendant, System Mailbox and a SMTP mailbox. I do not appear to be able to delete these mailboxes using the System Manager and this is stopping me from removing Exchnage 2003. Any ideas as to how I can remove these and uninstall Exchange 2003?

    regards

    George

      Those mailboxes are not the cause of the error.
      Mailboxes are only created when they are needed. Therefore it is possible for a user to have a mailbox without it being shown in ESM.

      You need to search through ADUC for mailboxes.
