  • OWA rules to move mails to public folders imposible?

    Hi,

we have rules made on Oulook 2003 (under Exchange 2003) that move mails to public folders (working ok), but i starting to think that they are not going to work in OWA. In OWA you can not create a rule to move mails to public folders because the public folders are not available as destination folder. We are able to open and manage public folders (in a new window, not below the usual mailbox tree).

Is there any solution to this?

    Thanks in advance

If the rule is server side it will be processed even if you are using OWA.
If the rule is client side you need an outlook client to be open to process it (not OWA).

So as long as you are using server side rules it doesn't matter if your using OWA.

Moving email items between a mailbox and public folders will never work through OWA because those kinds of rules can only be client side, they cannot be server side.
Therefore they will only run when full Outlook is running.
