  • Repeated Emails on Clustered Enviornment

    Hi,

We have Exchange Clustered enviornment, 1 active server, if server1 goes down server 2 kick in, while deploying some patches I reboot server2 which was active server and server1 kicked in, by the following week when I deployed patches on server1, server2 kicked back in again but since server2 become an active server, users start receiving repeat emails.

any idea why and how can we resolve this issue for the future.

    Regards
    Sami

Re: Repeated Emails on Clustered Environment

The only reason I can think of is third party software - AV usually - scanning something it shouldn't do, holding on to the messages and then when the cluster node comes back online, the message is delivered.
